According to a study from Headspace Marketing, a consulting firm that specializes in Quebec, when it comes to social media the majority of francophone Canadians are feeling left out of the conversation. Apparently, on many social media marketing platforms brands often fail to respond to their French speaking inquirers. For this reason, just sharing a post on social media in French sometimes isn’t enough. If a company takes the time to reach out to francophone customers by posting in French as well as in English, but only responds to its English customers, said company is not genuinely including their French market in the conversation. Social media is a tool that promotes conversation, if you are not interacting with your followers then you are failing to achieve the goal of your company’s social media strategy, and simultaneously losing a large part of your audience. Communication and response: it seems like an obviously tip, but it will grow your market when engaging with a francophone community.
